I have received two scholarships and one scholarship pays for half of my tuition. I am now finishing my associate’s degree and I will be transferring to a Delta State University this fall to finish my bachelor’s degree. I am a part of an academic honors society where you need at least a 3.5 GPA to get in. I also loved how I could take AP classes in some subjects and in others still be in normal level or even special ed classes. This allowed me to finish some classes really quickly and it also allowed me to finish other classes at a slower pace. My favorite part about Acellus was that its classes are self-paced so I could work on my own pace. I am a visual learner so the short videos worked really well for me. I found out about Acellus Academy through research and I started doing Acellus in 9th grade.Īcellus ended up being the perfect fit for me. In 8th grade, I used a different online homeschooling program that I didn’t like very much because I thought it was too kiddish for me. In 8th grade, I decided I wanted to be homeschooled again and so my parents pulled me out of school and started homeschooling me. I was in public school from 4th grade to the first few months of 8th grade. Public school ended up being hard for me since I didn’t really fit in socially and the academic side was hard for me too. I have learning disabilities and was put in special ed classes when I started public school in the 4th grade. I then went to public school for the first time where I was held back a couple of grades. I started community college in 2018 and I have made either the Vice President’s List or the President’s List each semester. I graduated in 2017 and then took a gap year after graduation. I ended up graduating a year early because of Acellus’s flexibility. Thank you again, Acellus Academy, for helping my son follow his dreams!”Īcellus is really flexible and that worked wonders for me. Everyone I spoke with was very patient and helpful when I needed to make sure that Philip was on track, especially when we needed my son’s Army recruiter to get Philip’s high school transcripts via email. Many thanks to all departments at Acellus. Thank you so much, Acellus Academy, for providing my son with the option to work on his high school diploma doing it his way, at his pace using an excellent curriculum that was very student-friendly. On the day you sent me this email regarding Acellus graduation, he was actually walking across Hilton Field, Fort Jackson, for his Boot Camp Graduation, and is now at his new location for his Advance Individual Training (AIT) and will be studying to become a combat medic. He scored well enough to select “combat medic” as his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) On January 2, 2019, He shipped to Fort Jackson, South Carolina for boot camp. He took his ASVAB (military) test in October 2018.
My son, Philip, received his high school diploma (one year ahead of his peers) through Acellus Academy in September 2018. Because she was at home and was an online student, her schools saw her as a self starter. Just call and ask for their official email and send it through the parent portal. Most schools have an email to send official transcripts. Alana will start at Regent University August 2019 with over 10k in scholarships! My son is right behind her and is expected to graduate 2020! Thank you again for this wonderful program.Īs far as applying for school was easy. Now my daughter did well on her ACT and was accepted by 4 schools in 3 different states. They counted my children as enrolled in private school. After I gave the Board of Education Acellus’s accreditation, I no longer had to provide testing each year. Also, if they needed help I can see where I needed to focus help. The added bonus was Acellus let me check on them using my app without asking. The lessons got to the point and the children were less burdened with busy work. However, as I listened and viewed the information on the website I said it was worth a try. I began reading how the curriculum was paced and adjusted to my children. Alana will start at Regent University August 2019 with over 10k in scholarships!Īfter being frustrated over homeschool products that tried the all day transitional approach, I researched and found Acellus with it’s swiss cheese approach. My daughter did well on her ACT and was accepted by 4 schools in 3 different states.
